What Inspired "Na Deemak Ka Darr, Na Silan Ki Fikar…"?

The idea is deeply rooted in everyday Indian experience.  Deemak (termites) and silan (dampness/moisture) are very common problems in Indian homes. We used wood to make chaukhat (door and window frames) because wood has been the most familiar and widely used material for ancient times. It is warm and familiar, and naturally associated with excellent craftsmanship.

But homeowners and builders also know the other side of the story. That is, traditional wood faces problems over time. they can be affected by termites attack, moisture can damage it and long exposure to damp conditions can lead to swelling, decay, fungi, and repeated maintenance.

In today's era, WPC chaukhat works as an alternative for wooden chaukhat. It has all the qualities of the wood-based chaukhat, along with greater resistance to common issues like termites and moisture, and hence is a convenient choice for modern Indian houses.

WPC is completely resistant to the attack of termites and other insects.

WPC is much less affected by moisture.It is dimensionally stable even It does not absorb or lose water. Unlike wooden frames WPC does not expand or contract making the door more stable and intact so it stays stable in humid conditions and when it comes in contact with water. WPC door frames are highly suitable for humid and wet environments like bathrooms, kitchens, ground floors, damp masonry areas, or monsoon-exposed buildings.

This does not mean installation is unimportant. Proper sealing, drainage, water management, and installation are still very important. The material itself is more resistant to moisture damage than traditional wood.
